Woodside Primary School Oswestry……… a good place to be

Daily Diary

Thursday 2nd October 2014

Parents/carers of all children in FS2 and KS1: don’t forget that your child is now eligible for free school meals!

Our Race For Life was a great success! Please send all sponsor money in as soon as possible. Many thanks for your support.

Sarah Longville, headteacher, and Andy Hall, Year 7 Transition Manager, from The Marches will be in to work with children in Year 6 this afternoon.

Our KS2 cross-country team will be competing in an area race at The Marches today starting at 4.00.

Diary dates this week:

American singer and guitarist Brooks Williams will be in school on Friday afternoon before his concert at Theatre Severn in Shrewsbury to play for, and speak with, our KS2 children. This event has been arranged as part of our Year of Aspiration and Discovery. Brooks is a brilliant, highly regarded guitarist and it is wonderful that he has agreed to come to Woodside despite his very busy touring schedule. His gig at Theatre Severn starts at 8.00 on Friday in the Walker Theatre and tickets are £10.00.

Our current assembly theme is Discovery and Aspiration.

The music played in our assemblies this week is People Get Ready which is performed by The Impressions.
